Mirror Mirror

Mirror mirror on the..... public restroom wall, who are we?

No matter who we see in the mirror. At the end of the day, we are all the same.

No matter your skin color, culture, even religion. It's much simpler than we are taught or what we see. As societies, we have gotten so lost and far from what our attention should really be on.....

"Who am I?'

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with enjoying a good Netflix show, social media posts, award shows, food (yes food can be a distraction, another blog), football games, making $sshmoonay....the list goes on. But those are all merely distractions to what we really seek inside; love & our purpose here on earth.

I often dive deep, headfirst into the "rabbit hole"... that, my friend, can be overwhelming...so I swim back to the surface to those distractions to make me feel 'normal" again (did you visualize me swimming too? good ;).

Strip away all the layers of what makes you, "you', everything on the surface. Your name, age, credit score, social statues, degrees, race, the car you drive, income, your followers on social media....even your family and friends. Everything. What do you have left?

frikin cheese balls! (that's my way of saying the s word)

Feeling pretty light right? So let's start moving inward now that we have you mentally naked. (if you can in your private time do this in front of a mirror...)

The reality, when the surface is stripped away only leaves us with two things, Female and Male body parts. You can't argue that.

Dive in deeper....oxygen, blood running through our veins, the mind, that beautiful heartbeat, *insert any other science terms that keep our bodies going here*... we get a full miracle of a human-machine. This is what the human race is underneath it all.

A creation. Equals. Spirit.

Essentially, making no man greater than another.

So I ask you this.." who were you before the world told you who you should be?"

Take the road less traveled. Seeking our Creator, God, our true source of life. This is where life begins, this is where you find your true self. Within.

So never treat anyone lesser than or more than. Have the same respect for the homeless as you would your favorite Instagram model, actor, president.

Are you willing to get mentally naked and let your true self show up in every room? Humble, kind, knowing that we are made equal under God's eyes, no matter what you see in the mirror?

Sammy Says

Hug yourself,

kiss your hand,

& be gentle in your mind

XOXO,
